A customer might change their buffer period to adapt to demand fluctuations (e.g., shortening it for holiday rushes), supply chain reliability (e.g., extending it due to shipping delays), or cost management (e.g., reducing it to lower storage expenses). You can execute this change on 2 different levels:
For all of your products: 1. Navigate to Settings > General Settings > Options
2. Under Products > Scroll down to edit the sections "Buffer period before rental" and "Buffer period after rental." Once you enter your desired amount, scroll down to the bottom of the page and save your changes.
OR For a specific category of products:
- Navigate to Inventory > Categories > Click on the category you want to edit
- Scroll down to edit the sections “Buffer period before rental” and “Buffer period after rental.” Once you enter your desired amount, scroll down to the bottom of the page and save your changes.
